INTENDED FOR DOGS 2 YEARS AND UP

Fido Finishing School - Board and Train

They know it… they just don’t live it consistently.

Walks are manageable — until something interesting appears.

Cues are understood — but follow-through depends on the day.

Structure fades once life gets busy.

At this stage, dogs aren’t confused —

reliability just hasn’t fully settled in.

This program is not for significant behavioral issues.

It’s for refinement, repetition, and follow-through.

You may be noticing:

inconsistent leash skills • selective listening • over-excitement during greetings • difficulty holding place • struggling to settle when activity is happening

Length & Investment

Two weeks (14 days) — $2,450

We build clear patterns so your dog becomes predictable again —
calm at home and manageable in the real world.

For adult dogs ready to become consistent in the real world.

We don’t add pressure — we add clarity, repetition, and structure so skills become habits and your dog can handle normal life without constant reminders.

How Do You Know When It’s Time for Structure?

  • Responsive

(you can usually give this time)

    • happens occasionally
    • improves week to week
    • dog recovers quickly after excitement
    • behavior appears in specific moments, not daily life
    • walks and home life still mostly manageable

Your dog is testing reactions — not relying on them yet.

  • Reliable

(this is when families usually start this program)

    • happening daily
    • spreading into new situations
    • recovery takes longer
    • walks becoming frustrating or avoided
    • settling at home becoming difficult

Your dog isn't trying behaviors anymore - they're becoming habits.

What Life Usually Looks Like After

Without clear structure, many adult dogs don’t “grow out” of inconsistency — they live in it.

The longer behaviors are repeated, the more automatic they become in everyday life.

Most dogs leaving this program:

respond before reacting

can walk past distractions without constant reminders

settle in the house without repeated cues

recover quickly instead of staying elevated

handle normal life without big swings in behavior

become predictable instead of situational

We’re not changing your dog’s personality.

We’re helping their skills become habits — so daily life feels steady again.

What Your Dog Is Learning

Regulation

Recovering from stimulation instead of staying elevated.

Social Skills

Seeing people and dogs without feeling the need to respond.

Comfort in Everyday Situations

Moving through new or busy places without unpredictability.

Handling & Guidance (grooming, vet care, leash communication)

Accepting direction instead of resisting or negotiating it.

Consistency

Responding the same way — not only when conditions are easy.

How We Do It

Your dog lives a structured daily routine with us that mirrors real life — built around daily living instead of isolated training sessions.

We guide them through:

  • calm indoor time
  • appropriate outlets for energy
  • rest and reset periods
  • real-world outings
  • cooperative handling
  • thoughtful interaction with people

We use rewards and guidance, but more importantly we teach them how to make decisions, not just what to perform.

The goal is understanding, not control.

You’ll receive regular updates so you can see what they’re learning and how to continue it at home.

Who This Program Is For

Most families choose this program when daily life feels inconsistent — not chaotic, just harder than it needs to be.

It’s especially helpful if:

  • skills your dog knows don’t hold up in real situations
  • walks require constant reminders to stay smooth
  • guests or activity change your dog’s behavior quickly
  • settling indoors takes repeated direction
  • progress happens in sessions but fades at home
  • your schedule doesn’t allow for the repetition consistency requires

If your dog understands what to do — but doesn’t do it reliably — this is usually the level of structure families choose.

When Your Dog Goes Home, You’re Not Guessing

We don’t just train your dog — we transfer the structure to you.

Before your dog leaves, we walk you through real-life routines in real time:

leash work, home movement, settling, greetings, and how to reinforce calm decisions.

Training Videos
You receive video of your own dog practicing the skills — so you can see exactly what consistency looks like and how to maintain it.

Written Progress Reports (Daily)
Clear notes outlining what your dog now understands, what standards we’ve set, and how to continue building reliability at home.

Guided Transition Sessions
We work with you directly to make sure the habits transfer into your environment — not just ours.

Ongoing Support
You’ll have reference material and the ability to reach out if something needs clarification once you’re home.

You don’t leave with a “trained dog.”

You leave with structure that makes daily life predictable.

Not sure if this is the right stage to start training?

Describe what’s been happening at home and on walks. We’ll tell you honestly whether to start now — or wait.

What to include

• your dog’s age

• where you notice it most (home, walks, guests, everywhere)

• what happens when it’s hard

• whether it’s improving, staying the same, or getting worse
